Rose Marie's Mother's Day

Poem 1990

I KNOW I WAS ROTTEN
WHEN I WAS A KID
BUT I TURNED OUT OK
AT LEAST I THINK I DID.

YOU'RE STEADFAST AND STRONG
YOU SEEM TO KNOW AND SEE ALL.
WHEN I STAND BY YOUR SIDE
I FEEL TEN FEET TALL.

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH
BUT THERE'S ONE THING
MISSING
THAT'S TIME SPENT
WITH YOU
JUST HUGGING AND
KISSING
