Out of School Early

Lee's sense of humor was delightful. He told us of a school incident that included a friend of his who was just as poor. the family subsisted  on beans that winter. One day during class the young man couldn't help himself. he created a stink taht could not be ignored.

The teacher walded past and his nose began twitching. "All right who did it?" he demanded.

No one answered but everyone except the teacher knew who was guilty.

"We can't have this!" he said. "Who ever created this smell must leave the room immediately."

Dada looked around, all the other boys were getting smiles on their faces. They didn't want their friend to be humiliated like this. Dad and several of the boys stood up and confessed it was themselves and walked out the door and on down the road having a good laugh over the situation.
